the Lake Sarah Project of 1996
The Lake Sarah project - In the early 1990’s, the Commission undertook the Clean Water Partnership Project with the Hennepin Conservation District (HCD) at Lake Sarah. The Diagnostic Study Report and Implementation Plan were published in December of 1996. Several jointly funded water quality improvement projects were completed in the years following the development of the plan including the creation of settling ponds along Loretto Creek on the property of Gerald Williams and the Dobozenski pond on Bell Rose Drive. Several Buffer strip projects including signed projects at the homes of Jane and Dan Cady, Perrie and Kimberly Buffie, and Cindy (Sykes) Keating.

The Hennepin Conservation District essentially ceased to operate following a voter referendum in November 2002.
